I'm a bit bothered by the front ramp, though, specifically the part of it sticking out past the treads. It feels very blocky and somewhat out of place; I think if you could fix that, I'd be fully behind the design. Hrm, if you were willing to rebuild the front portion maybe some "stairs" leading up to the ramp? That would alleviate the blockiness and but keep the overall design.

Regardless it's a fantastic idea and I love the upper floors, the hinges/chains on the door, etc. Awesome stuff, keep us posted.AbusePuppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07413248837734103198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-600589111118264680.post-25901766139149369312010-08-25T05:31:12.273+10:002010-08-25T05:31:12.273+10:00"Sir! I am thinking of making the added pieces look like stone work, a kind of textured look. I am also trying to figure out where the muti-melta needs to go as well, I was originally thinking on top o the upper portion, but I don't want it to look like a chimney. Getting 2 multi-melta's and oncorperating one into each hurrican bolter sponson is an option, but I will loose my 360deg firing field....still need to think about it.

As far as the background on this, well My Black Templar army is based on a crusade of my own creation, I call it the Helm Crusade, which basically had it's founding on planet Helm, after a particularly intense battle. After this battle was over the marines went about repairing, as best they could, the tanks that had been damaged. Well the only thing they had access to was the ruined structures of the ancient Black Templar citadel. Some of the take in my army will have this look, but none as extensive as this LRC.

I will keep kirby up to date on my progress guys, thanks again!!

AshtonRedfingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165908567186772049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-600589111118264680.post-21376764604891114352010-08-24T23:10:05.854+10:002010-08-24T23:10:05.854+10:00That's fucking rad. Can i suggest either plating, or brickwork?

Regardless, that's and awesome idea and as Kirby said, painted, will win best Army at many tournaments.festerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08696875815801425052noreply@blogger.com
