Site Transfer
Posted by

No end in site to the fail that is Godaddy/Google (and yes, we are aware of the attacks on GoDaddy servers but this issue started before then and Google has given us no help). We're speeding up the site transfer process and hope to port by the end of this week. It won't be a full site but it will be a functional one we hope!
Sorry for the delay guys.

Hybrid Tau + Boyz
Posted by

So with the changes to Tau vehicles making them...well really good again, I thought I'd throw up a post of what a Hybrid Tau + Boyz army might look like. I'll do a metatransition post later, this is just for you to sink your teeth into and get discussing.
Losing firepower without the Big Guns and 10 Crisis (down to 7) but gaining some extra firepower through Hammerhead and some added durability to army with AV13 with a 3+ cover and two mobile AV12s with 2+ cover when going Flat-Out to block LoS to your army.
Potentially a different army for Allies with more firepower since there is an added defense layer here could work... Anyway, list below.

Barrage Weapons – The Vehicle-Wrecking Super-Snipers of 6th Edition
Barrage Weapons – The Vehicle-Wrecking Super-Snipers of 6th Edition
In a prelude to the Heavy Support part of my Imperial Guard review, I am going to have a look at the way the rules governing Ordnance Batteries, Barrage Weapons and Indirect fire have changed. There are a lot of subtle changes, but what they add up to is a range of tanks that have become the Vehicle-Wrecking Super-Snipers of 6th Edition.
The focus of this article is on the best of the Barrage weapons, so it is very Imperial Guard-orientated, but many of the rules also apply to Whirlwinds and simlilar units. Whether you use IG as your primary force, are considering allying in some Ordnance Batteries or are just likely to face them, you need to know these rules.

Metatransition - Scarab Farm
Posted by

| BoLS |
The Scarab farm was all about taking tiny amounts of Scarabs and turning them into huge units with nine Spyders. This provided really large Scarab units which could molest even moving vehicles and leave points free for other Necron goodies. In 5th edition it had a few flaws though - Scarabs would hit vehicles, drop them to paper thin armor, destroy them and then turn around and die. Scarabs were a great unit when supported by extra firepower but by taking nine Spyders, one would often lose a key support unit in the Annihilation Barge. Imothek was also common with Farm lists which meant Necron shooting was impacted negatively as well - what are Necrons good at again?

Thoughts on 6th edition List Constructs
Posted by

So with NOVA over and some feedback from others going on, let's look at what's been kicking around my head lately in terms of list constructs for 6th edition. This is by no means the be all and end all, it's just things I've noticed throughout practice games.

Death or Glory 40k Podcast Episode 3: Psychic Powers
Posted by
Unknown

After a slight absence we are back with podcast number 3! This week are are talking all about Psychic powers, filthy witches and the state of mind bullets in the great game of 40k.
I'm afraid that our resident techpriest Rupert is away touring a formerly compliant territory that turned its back on the Emperors Grace, so forgive me for not posting a timeline of the podcast as usual!
We are currently working on getting the podcast onto iTunes and we will update you all when that's done. In the meantime the podcast can be listened to here.
We have tried to keep the episodes quite short and this one comes in at just over an hour. As always all feedback is greatly appreciated.
