"Knowing the reception that this would get if I posted it on WAU, I don't think I'll bother. I'm thinking of taking it to Phenomenon next June, which is a no-comp tournament (so I can't lose points unless I get sports sniped!).
I know that this list is pretty good, because I based it on Stelek's Here the Dead Lie IG list. However, in trying to tone it down a little so I don't get lynched at our tournaments I might have unbalanced it a little. I am also trying to get a Lost and the Damned feeling going, so I've got a mutant horde and the other units will be Traitor Guard. Just wondering if you can see any weaknesses I might have missed.

Have a good one,

Ben sent this to me a couple of days ago and he said it was fine to post up here. A solid list with a pretty big alpha strike punch from the Hunter Killer Missiles and a steady stream of fire from the Heavy Bolters, Autocannons and Multi-lasers backed up nicely with meltaguns and flamer variants. Only thing I would really change is adding some autocannons to the Vets & infantry blobs. This will increase your 48" firepower and if your Hydras get stunlocked, doesn't lose you a huge amount of firepower. I'd prob drop the Flamers off the Vets and Krak nades off the platoons (potentially a couple of HKs?) and fit as many ACs as you can into your infantry. The Platoon blob is solid with a fair amount of power weapon attacks + stubborn and you can counter-charge with Straken <3.
In one of our follow-up convos, Ben pointed out a criticism of the list was lack of AP2 and blast and whilst that would be nice, this list is going for a lot more weight of firepower rather than a more 'standard' IG blast spam list. With the amount of firepower you're putting out I don't think you really need the low AP and extra blast but let's see what others think!

Squadrons are pretty fragile. You can do some fun cover shenanigans, but immob = wrecked is a big problem.
Going for Creed and some HWS would give you more dakka, more orders, and more units firing would be pretty handy I'd say.
If it's so big a fear, put Plas on the PCS.
I don't see a need, really, but it's the best platform IF you do. Failing that, I'd sooner see them go all-Flamers.
dig the list. nice to see sentinels in somebody else's army. I wouldn't sweat the squadroned vehicles too much. will it really kill your plans if you lose 55 or 85 point vehicle to an immo? Probably not.
If I were the OP I might try and shoehorn in a PBS since they synergize quite well with both your manticore and overall volume of fire. auto-pins and forcing people to run off objectives = good times
I think having higher volumes of AP2, but not necessarily blast, is of great importance against modern Nids and BA.
