New Banner & Blog Design

There's this dude called amazingPhil. He's pretty amazing. He made the new banner that adornes the 3++ website. He's also offered to help update the 3++ look which I'm happy for him to do since the site looks a bit bland now compared to that awesome banner... What are people's thoughts on the layout currently? Okay? Too crowded? Anyway thoughts and comments here so we can make 3++ look better.

P.S. is the banner the correct length for people's browsers? There was an issue with this earlier with the old banner so just want to make sure it's okay currently.
