Centurion Army Poll Results

The poll results! So Tau and Tyranids are the clear front runners with quite a few armies vying for the third spot and a whopping 400+ votes! That's nearly quadruple the number of votes of the most voted previous poll. Either you guys like this topic, there are more readers or people are multi-voting! So since the army lists have gone up I've actually restricted myself I'm afraid: no more purchases for a while (i.e. I secure a new place to live ^^). This unfortuntely rules out Tau and Flamestorm BA and to an extent Mechdar (would have to run a different list). Sorry lads, I know you all (38% all...) wanted me to use them oh so desperately.

Since I'm keeping Tyranids as my back-up army (minimal painting), this basically leaves Vanilla Mech, Bloodhammer and Jumper BA in order as the army lists to practice with and build which is good for me as they are pretty similar (i.e. I build all the Marines with magnets =D). So, here's a recap of the lists as they stand currently and generate some discussion over potential changes, strengths and weaknesses.

List 1: Vanilla Mech
Libby w/Null Zone, Avenger
Dreadnought w/2x TL-autocannons
Dreadnought w/2x TL-autocannons
Dreadnought w/2x TL-autocannons
10x Tacticals w/flamer, MM, Rhino

5x Tacticals, Razorback w/LasPlas
5x Tacticals, Razorback w/LasPlas
2x Land Speeders w/MM, HF
2x Land Speeders w/MM, HF
Predator w/HB sponsons
Predator w/HB sponsons
Predator w/HB sponsons

Totals: 1750 points
14 vehicles
31 infantry

One of the lists I'm most comfortable with and the obvious change would be dropping the Speeders to 3x1 and using those points for some upgrades here and there such as combi-weapons, HKMs and potentially an ACLC Pred or two (meh). A lot of firepower and midfield stability is the hallmark of this list and a good mix of infantry and tanks.
List 2: Blood Hammer BA

Libby w/Jump Pack, Blood Lance, Shield of Sanguine
Sanguinary Priest w/Jump Pack, Lightning Claw
Sanguinary Priest w/Jump Pack, Lightning Claw
Sanguinary Priest
5x Sanguinary Guard w/Power Fist, infernous pistol
5x Sanguinary Guard w/Power Fist, 2x infernous pistols
10x Assault Marines w/2x meltagun, Power Fist
10x Assault Marines w/2x meltagun, Power Fist
5x Assault Marines w/meltagun, melta-bombs
5x Devastators w/3x Missile Launchers
5x Devastators w/3x Missile Launchers
5x Devastators w/3x Missile Launchers

Totals: 1750
54 infantry

A very unique list in terms of make-up which is a plus compared to the Vanilla Mech and Jumper lists. It packs more Marines than the Jumper list and some ranged firepower but has less deployment options when it doesn't get first turn. Importantly though it has more scoring than the Jumper list and doubles up on the Sanguinary guard but is less potent on the drop without Vanguard.

List 3: Jumper BA

Libby w/Jump Pack, Blood Lance, Shield of Sanguine
5x Honor Guard w/Jump Packs, 4x meltagun
Sanguinary Priest w/Jump Pack, Lightning Claw
Sanguinary Priest w/Jump Pack, Lightning Claw
5x Sanguinary Guard w/Power Fist, 2x infernous pistol
10x Assault Marines w/2x meltagun, Power Fist
10x Assault Marines w/2x meltagun, Power Fist
5x Vanguard w/glaive + SS, Power Fist + SS, 2 SS
5x Vanguard w/glaive + SS, Power Fist + SS, 2 SS

Totals: 1750 points
43 infantry

Bit less scoring than I'd like and only a single Sanguinary Guard is a bit annoying but the list certainly packs a punch and 43 FNP marines are hard to remove. I'd consider this the weakest of the lists with the lack of long-ranged shooting but not by much.
