Anyway, let's look at the models.
So the major things here are obviously the Tyranid Harpy, Tyranid Tervigon/Tyrannofex and Space Wolves Thunderwolves. There are a few extentions of this such as a re-done Hive Tyrant/Swarmlord box, Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf, the Fenrisian Wolves, packs of Tyranid boneswords & lashwhips (gee, how much would they have sold if released with the damn army), etc.
Overall, I like the look of the Thunderwolves and it will be interesting to see what options they get on the plastic spru but the Tyranids...so it's a Carnifex with less bulk but a high arched back? So like a Dinosaur with a big ball sack? Yay! The T-Fex weapons look appropriately massive but that's about it. I will say I like the Bonesword/Lash Whips and the Harpy (but good luck getting cover for that) but overall, meh. Add in the time waited and meh.
The issue now is some people are going to bitch about all the home-made stuff when there weren't models - particularly if they are smaller than these models. I can tell you right now, the vast majority of people are not going to shelve out extra cash for Tervigons/T-Fexes when they made their own - Thunderwolves might be a bit different as they come as multiples in a box and should come with some nice bits but the majority of people who really wanted them, have them. Why are they being released again?
Anyway - people's thoughts? Going to buy anything?
