"Hey again Kirby

So finally got my blood angels codex! woot! So I thought I'd write up some lists to bore you in your spare time =P. Also wow they really tried to make tactical squads sound like super awesome o.o, they failed =[ I still addicted to assault squads.

Woot all done X3!!!

Luke, these are both good lists and you've applied the theory discussed on this blog into your army lists well. There are a few changes here and there I'd suggest (i.e. @ 1500, spread the SS out on the VV and drop a meltagun from HG & handflamer for 3 each) but most are little quibbles. What you need to do now is go put your models together and practice! Send me bat-reps (with pics...) and we can critique it here for the benefit of everyone as Jumper lists seem to be quite popular (how many emails have I gotten about them lately...?).

And after this post (and at 7pm Monday night) my inbox is...EMPTY! I'm 100% caught up finally so hopefully can get into some more substantial posts when I get in from work tonight though I am painting a fair amount of Tyranids on the fly. Worry not, I'll still answer e-mails...

Thanks for the reply x3
Hmm I thought about splitting the shields up but the shields are mostly there so I can tie down super units and wasn't sure if 2-3 shields would be enough. Also thought about dropping shields off my VV sarges at 1850 and giving them duel lightning claws, mostly just because I love the look of dual claws. It is 5 points cheaper as well. lol

Now I just need to avoid the temptation to field the sanguinor and a sang guard unit with chapter banner. =x and 5 land raiders at 1750 made me lol.

When you get back into writing articles any chance you could write up one on tank shocking?? =P

Anyway thanks again for the help. =D

A note on hand flamers being only S3:

Most things that you're going to be hitting with them before charging in CC are things like gaunts/gants which are T3 anyways so they're still wounding on 4's, not too shabby at all. For the points you spend, it's well worth it to add those extra hits in on the hoards before smacking into them in CC.

I like all of the recent focus on Blood Angel lists, Kirby. I'm new and building a 1K list for my first game scheduled a couple weeks out. I've all ready applied some of the principles/suggestions you have shared to my current list.
Thanks again!

Tank shocking is top of the list. I have all my ideas scribbled down on a page to work with and 3 NEW EMAILS...too popular by far :P.

Spreading the shields give you more ability in your movement to compensate for super units. What if your max shield unit doesn't come down until T3? Ouch. Spreading them mitigates this.

Avoid the Sanguinor but Sang Guard are a pretty good hammer unit if you're looking for one or you can add Dante + SG as Troops (aka Bloodwing) and it's still an effective army with a different playstyle albeit similar to ASM JUmper.

@MaikuKun; exactly; and with a list which relies on torrent in combat, the more gribblies you take out the better (as long as they don't flee...).

Testing again

Hmmm I can see your comments again but can't see any of my old comments o.o

Ah good point about the shields o=

I only really tempted to field sang guard because with chapter banner and sanguinor nearby they would have 5 master crafted S5 power weapon attacks each, plus Sanguinors 6 S6 attacks if i charge him into the same combat. In an all the jumper army the random blessing is always going to go on a useful sarge.

Such a shame he so expensive =[ costs more than 2 libbys with jump packs. Makes me sad cause I absolutely love the model.

Ya looks like some comments were removed (like i nthe Eldar Aspect thread). Not sure what happened, blame blogger.

Same response as above, avoid the Sanguinor :P.

@Gonewild; glad you've enjoyed them but I can't wait for a new codex lol
