"Hey Kirbs, this is Katie Drake from Heresy. This is my first time sending in an email to one of these blogs, so don't hit me too hard if I do something dumb!
Basically, I've been playing a fully mechanized Blood Angels army for a while now and while it's been fun I feel like trying out something a bit different. I'm looking to use an army that takes advantage of both the excellent transport options available to Assault Squads and the awesomeness that are units of Marines with jump packs running around kicking people's heads in. So far this is what I've come up with.
1850 Pts - Blood Angels Roster
HQ: Reclusiarch (1#, 155 pts)
1 Reclusiarch @ 155 pts (...in Power Armour)
1 ...in Power Armour (Jump Pack)
HQ: Librarian (1#, 110 pts)
1 Librarian @ 110 pts (...in Power Armour; Shield of Sanguinius; Unleash Rage)
1 ...in Power Armour (Hand Flamer)
Troops: Assault Squad (6#, 195 pts)
3 Assault Squad @ 195 pts (Remove Jump Packs; Meltagun; Razorback)
1 Assault Marine with Meltagun (Remove Jump Packs)
1 Sergeant (Remove Jump Packs; Bolt Pistol; Power Weapon x1)
1 Razorback (Extra Armor; Twin Linked Assault Cannon)
Troops: Assault Squad (6#, 195 pts)
3 Assault Squad @ 195 pts (Remove Jump Packs; Meltagun; Razorback)
1 Assault Marine with Meltagun (Remove Jump Packs)
1 Sergeant (Remove Jump Packs; Bolt Pistol; Power Weapon x1)
1 Razorback (Extra Armor; Twin Linked Assault Cannon)
Troops: Assault Squad (6#, 195 pts)
3 Assault Squad @ 195 pts (Remove Jump Packs; Meltagun; Razorback)
1 Assault Marine with Meltagun (Remove Jump Packs)
1 Sergeant (Remove Jump Packs; Bolt Pistol; Power Weapon x1)
1 Razorback (Extra Armor; Twin Linked Assault Cannon)
Troops: Assault Squad (10#, 250 pts)
7 Assault Squad @ 250 pts (Meltagun; Meltagun)
1 Assault Marine with Meltagun
1 Assault Marine with Meltagun
1 Sergeant (Infernus Pistol x1; Power Fist x1)
Troops: Assault Squad (10#, 220 pts)
7 Assault Squad @ 220 pts (Flamer; Flamer)
1 Assault Marine with Flamer
1 Assault Marine with Flamer
1 Sergeant (Melta Bombs; Bolt Pistol; Power Weapon x1)
Fast Attack: Attack Bike Squad (3#, 150 pts)
3 Attack Bike Squad @ 150 pts (Multi-Melta x3)
Elite: Sanguinary Priest (2#, 140 pts)
1 Sanguinary Priest @ 140 pts (Sanguinary Priest in Power Armour; Sanguinary Priest in Power Armour)
1 Sanguinary Priest in Power Armour (Power Sword)
1 Sanguinary Priest in Power Armour (Jump Pack)
Heavy Support: Dreadnought (1#, 120 pts)
1 Dreadnought @ 120 pts (Twin Linked Autocannon; Twin Linked Autocannon)
Heavy Support: Dreadnought (1#, 120 pts)
1 Dreadnought @ 120 pts (Twin Linked Autocannon; Twin Linked Autocannon)
Total Roster Cost: 1850
It's not perfect, but since I've only played one game with it so far (and luck was a pretty large factor in determining the result) I figured I'd submit this to see what a ball of pink and his followers could do with it to help me out. I do have some model constraints, namely not owning eleventy billion Razorbacks (three is the max I can field plus one Rhino), nor do I own six Predators or anything crazy like that. Thus, keeping the list at least somewhat resembling the above is a high priority.
Thanks for reading and thanks even more if this ends up posted!

As I'm sure we all know, I'm not a huge fan of Hybrid BA as I think the Jump Pack element relies a lot on the mech staying mobile to provide cover. From that though I think the list has the basis there but a lot of extraneous upgrades you don't need. EA on the RBacks, PWeapons on the small ASM squads, flamers on the ASM and the Reclusiarch for example. Dropping these frees up about 200 points which gives us a couple of options. But this depends on what you have available. For example, would you be able to field (or obtain) another Dread and MM AB (splitting the ABs to 2x2) or perhaps fielding Honor Guard squads in Rhinos, etc. Keeping the core of Libby/AssCannon RBacks/ASM/Dreads is important I think as it gives you a solid firebase from the Dreads but need to be careful you can go toe-to-toe when you get up close to your opponent.
Let me know what you have available outside of these models or what you are willing to budget for (i.e. Dreads are cheap online thanks to AoBR) and we can get a more steamlined list!

Far from efficient, but it's effective enough.
First thing is splitting the attackbikes into multiple small units, and adding some more - preferably 2x2, or 3x2.
Marine squads get powerfists or bust. Drop all the power weapons.
Drop the extra armor on everything, too. It's only a worthwhile upgrade on land raiders, or other things that you absolutely must bring into the enemy's lines.
Consider putting hunter-killers on all your vehicles. It's really, really, really nice to be able to cripple opposing transports in the first turn.
Superchaplain isn't all that great. You can pretty much afford a naked honor guard if you drop him.
Are Reclusiarchs that bad? I guess they do kinda come out just worse than a Unleash Rage/XXX Librarian, bar psychic defenses. Or if you're running Death Company, but then you really want Lemartes, I think.
They're bad for the same reason regular chaplains, wolf priests, company masters, and chaptermasters are bad: cost a lot, yet don't do as much as other, similarly priced (masters of the forge, librarians, rune priests, wolf guard battle leaders, biker captains) characters.
If you eat up 10-25% of the army's total points, you'd better show it.
