First off the customary love the blog ! Great articles provided by yourself and your contributors.
I'd appreciate it If I could get some help putting together a DA list, centered around Deathwing in midfield with appropriate units to support them. At 1500pts I came up with this :-
Belial with Lightning Claws
Deathwing with Cyclone Missile Launcher, Chain Fist and Apothecary
Deathwing with Cyclone Missile Launcher and Chain Fist
Deathwing with Cyclone Missile Launcher and Chain Fist
Land Speeder with Multi-Melta and Heavy Flamer
Land Speeder with Multi-Melta and Heavy Flamer
Land Speeder with Multi-Melta and Heavy Flamer
Vindicator with Dozer Blade
Vindicator with Dozer Blade
Vindicator with Dozer Blade
Vindicators push up into midfield providing cover for the Deathwing walking behind. Probably not the most competitive list (hey, it's DA !) but should hopefully be fun. Alternatives are Multi-Melta Dreads walking with the Deathwing with fire support from Dakka Preds
Hopefully you can see what I'm trying to do with this, any suggestions ?

Glad you like the blog but Dark Angels really have issues I'm afraid and this list is the same. You over pay for things and don't really have the options to compensate for it. Your alternative list with Dreads/Preds is much better.
Deathwing has so many issues it's not funny and throwing S10 pie-plates at the enemy you want to close with compounds them. At 1500 15 Terminators is pretty solid except against forces like Tau/IG which can have 1750-2000 point worth of firepower and still be a good list. You're going to have issues killing things which is why I think a lot of people tank Vindicators (large blast kills tons!) but the chance for you to wipe out one of your own squads is too big a risk to take. Dakka Preds help with anti-infantry and provide some ranged anti-tank whilst Dreadnoughts can provide some good scary combat beastiness to put beside the 5++ of the Terminators whilst also adding another mobile MM.
You can probably drop one of the Speeders and the Vindies and get two Dreads and two Preds which is a more balanced list if still having the issue of paying more for everything than normal :P.
