Rifledread Conversion: Take II

Well I found out something, AoBR Dreads are small than plastic multi-part Dreads so I swapped over the over-large plasticard armor plates I made and they look a lot better on the normal Dread. Still not great but the proportions are a lot better. I've also done up a new piece for the AoBR Dreads and played around with the autocannon positioning which you can also see. It's a lot less bulky but a lot more open as well. Thoughts on round 2 and should the weapon mounts be left open or enclose them like on a normal dread?

The new turrets look alot nicer.
Less is more! Ya, the smaller ones are way better looking I say. I think doing the same kind of things for the other arms too (the ones which you putted on a normal dread now) will make those nicer too. Or less bad looking at least ;)
Some rivets on the smaller one and you're a winner.

In the year 40,000 everything needs rivets.
Aye rivets are coming...lol
Yeah... a mere £14 per dreadnought (+p&p). Bargain. The armour on the FW arms is minimal but does look great. That makes me favour the simpler design even more.
I bought a Dread from eBay.

The dude had got the las cannon arm, replaced the LC barrells with AutoC ones and then put the ammo drums on it.

I feel that your barrels are too far apart, almost like a flak cannon.

I have bought some of the Leman Russ with AutoC turret [Exterminator? ~ the one SW used to have....] and will be using them as the barrels.
That looks better now. Much less bulky and more in line with the size that you would expect.
