I have only been playing a little while, but I am not very good yet, even though I thought I had a really strong army. Some friends of mine said there were some Blogs they found from Warseer, and this one guy I know (Dave) said that some King guy helped him loads with some Eldar stuff. I don't know loads about that, but his Bright Lances on his tanks always kill my tanks before I get close enough to charge him.
Since you are good at Marines, not like that king guy, I thought I should ask you if you can tell what's wrong with my list? Here's waht I use (we play 2000 points!)

Well Jacob, the reason why Bright Lances are hurting your army a lot is they are perfect against it. To make this list better, we'd basically have to scratch it and rebuild. 5 LR is not good in any sense of the word, particularly since you don't have anything that scary inside (unlike say 15 TH/SS termies). Whenever you take more than 2 LR at anything 2000 points or less, you're essentially looking at a rock army. Against certain lists you'll win because they can't deal with lots of AV14 (i.e. Orks) and you'll simply be able to dominate the board even though your killing power is minimal. Against other lists you'll lose because they can deal with lots of AV14 (i.e. Eldar with lances and 3x Dragon squads). Add in you have no scoring so cannot win in objective games and the list is...well terrible.
If you want to run Land Raiders and DC there is probably something we could do though I wouldn't recommend it too much (Terminators are much, much, much better for double the points). Have you bought 5 Land Raiders already yet?
