Warmachine 35 point Battle Report - pKreoss vs Strakhov

So played some Warmachine this past week rather than 40k - didn't want to muddy the waters too much with the ATC this weekend. Here's a game of my Menoth versus a friend's (not Vince's) Khador. He used Strakhov and I had brought...well an odd pKreoss list honestly. We played a DKFJDKJF mission and the Khador player went first after winning the roll. Here are lists:

Kirby vs Archnomad - List Selection in WM/H

Hi everybody. Kirby and I are going to have a game of WM/H on Vassal in the near future, and I'm using this as an example to talk about list selection in steamroller format games for WM/H. So, without wasting any more time let's get a look in at these army lists. They're 35pts, Menoth for Kirby and Legion for me. 

So, I'm running these two beauties:

Note: I haven't added editted pictures (just uneditted ones) here sorry, hopefully the text covers what is happening but my computer is having a fun time being...well not working nicely :P. Worry not, future battle reports will indeed have the editted pictures!

Two seperate games in this battle report but since none of my opponent's models were even undercoated, they get shoved into one post. We like pretty things (says the man with the half painted army). Both games we finally ran some scenarios (the one with the 8" bar through the middle) - nothing major but another win condition is nice.

First was against Jason with eHaley and a Jack heavy force. Something like:

Our 2nd game was eFeora v pButch – again no scenario though this should be our last game without such! Vince took the same pButch list and mine was obviously different (seen below). I won roll-off and gave him first turn to get potential first turn shooting in and counter deployment options. We shuffled the terrain around a bit so forests would come into play more but not significantly so. You’ll excuse the lighting as well and should see some shadows midway through the photos as lights were turned on :P.

Warmachine Battle Report - pButcher v pKreoss

First, check out Beast 09 <--. Vince can paint somewhat yes :P?

Back into the swing of some Warmachine! Today Vince and I both brought out some different casters from our previous games. I went with the battlebox caster of pKreoss whilst Vince brought out the ever tough pButch. The stage was set with our half painted armies though a little more is done each time... The lists were as follows:

So we have a re-match on our hands though with a slight list change for Sorscha. Destroyer was dropped for a pair of Eliminators, eEyriss, War Dog and a couple more Rocketeers for the Winter Guard. Lists were otherwise the same.

Menoth won roll-off this time and elected to go first. We have a nicer looking board this time though a lot of forests - less of an issue here without anything which can see through forests but hopefully our terrain will pick up over time for WM :P.

Warmachine 35pt Battle Report - pSevvy v pScorscha

Vince and I went at it again on camera with our new Warmachine armies - I whipped out my newly arrived pSevvy (henceforce known as Scrotum) and Vince decided to give pScorscha a whirl. We went for 35 points - highest yet! and tried out some new models - please excuse the unpainted (and even unprimed for some) state of things.

We ran just a standard kill the caster type game as we are still getting used to everything atm and went to town! Lists below, Vince won roll-off and went first. Once again as well, terrain isn't what it should be - the crater represents a forest and the foam inserts are walls/barricades.

Battle Report: Fiona the Black

Greetings ladies and gentlefolk of 3++ from Whitestar333, the Steam-Powered Gamer.  Today I have something different for you than my usual fare: a Battle Report!  While I certainly love discussing underdog warcasters/warlocks and figuring out how they work, I was really fascinated with my post on Fiona a while back.  At Templecon this year I won a prize from the Iron Arena which included tokens specifically made for Fiona, and I figured it was Thamar herself blessing me to go forth with Fiona, and so I did.  I've had the model for over a year but I've finally had the opportunity to play a game with her, after all of the list-building I've been doing.  It was against a friend of mine and he has been playing around with the list he brought but he admittedly jumps around between armies fairly often (it's a local joke that everyone buys his used stuff on clearance).  This was the first time that I have played with Fiona and I had a really bad match-up against me, but my army performed quite admirably.

1st Warmachine Battle Report - Khador v Menoth

This is under Vinsanity's username but posted by Kirby ^^. So Vincey and I finally played a real-life WM game – 15 points, Khador v Menoth (lists below). Our terrain was pretty sparse (the craters are in fact forests) with no fences or hills – something we shall rectify ASAP. Otherwise it was just to get us familiar with the layout in a real sense (compared to Vassal) and get us rolling dice + motivate me to finish the Menoth painting lol. Sorry for bad photos as well - Vince's camera is blah!
