I'm voting for this one here. You're not a Dot Com site Kirby, so .Net works better. And everyone identifies the website as 3++, not anything really else (including "Kirby"). Get too long in the domain name and you run into trouble.

I personally like something like the two suggestions above. I tried to send a guy here once, and he couldn't find 3++. It took me a bit to remember that's it's officially called Kirbysblog... *laugh*

Sadly, though, getting a .com is still one of the better options when possible, as that's what people tend to try to punch in when they aren't sure the domain tag. "3newblack.com" is open, though that's not as nice and clean as the two .net options above.

thepinkarmy.com and .org are both taken, likely for the pink ribbon cancer society. pinkarmy.com, net, and org are all taken, there. *laugh*

I think it would be a mistake to continue to disconnect between the website name and the URL. In general, I like to see the URL be all or part of the Website name. I think threeplusplus.something would be a good bet.

I don't even type in the website url I just do a google search for 3++ is the new black and up pops the blog and bam, link clicked every time.

Go with the name of the blog, you can't use a + sign but when you prouncounce a + it's the word plus so try:

3plusplusisthenewblack.com (or .whatever)

or

threeplusplusisthenewblack.com (or .whatever)

Keeps it nice and simple, and you type in how you'd say it. :)

I write for the damn site and I don't even have our current URL memorized, I always just Google it.

I have my link set as a homepage to avoid this problem. I had to explain to a friend the other day who wanted a link to 'go to google, type in 3++ is the new black, then hit the first link." He was all, 'well, isn't that the url?"

It was a sad day.
