"Hey Kirby,
it's Kildash again, been a while since I wrote you. No more Eldar for me as of late, my Space Wolves have seen the light of day ages ago. In any case, I'm going to the ETC with team Belgium, and I've devised a list to take. As you may know, ETC doesn't use comp, so that won't be an issue.
HQ:
Wolf Lord with Runic Armour, Thunderwolf mount, Power Fist, Storm Shield, Saga of the Bear
Rune Priest with Jaws of the World Wolf and Murderous Hurricane
Elites:
Wolf Guard pack:
-Wolf Guard with combi-melta & power fist

Troops:
8 Grey Hunters with meltagun and wolf standard
8 Grey Hunters with meltagun and wolf standard
7 Grey Hunters with meltagun and wolf standard
5 Grey Hunters with flamer
Rhino Transport with dozer blades
Rhino Transport with dozer blades
Rhino Transport with dozer blades
Razorback with lascannon and twin-linked plasmagun and dozer blade
Fast Attack:
5 Fenrisian Wolves
Heavy Support:
6 Long Fangs including pack leader and 5x missile launcher
6 Long Fangs including pack leader and 5x missile launcher
6 Long Fangs including pack leader and 5x missile launcher
Razorback with lascannon and twin-linked plasmagun and dozer blade
Razorback with lascannon and twin-linked plasmagun and dozer blade
Razorback with lascannon and twin-linked plasmagun and dozer blade
Total: 1849
Now, first, my own thoughts: The only comments I've had so far from friends & opponents on more local, smaller games & a few small-scale tournaments is that I could really use a unit of wolf scouts. Meltagun and/or meltabombs, i dunno, but that's at least 85 points, 110 with meltabombs and meltagun, and I have no idea what I can drop to reach that amount. The razorbacks' dozerblades could be dropped, that's 20 points. I could drop the 5 fenrisian wolves down to 2 (upgrade for the lord then) which would be another 20 points. However, besides dropping the fists, or more bodies, there's nothing I think I can drop without really losing strength.
I'm interested in your oppinion, and that of the others on your blog. Let's hear it =)
Cheers,
Kildash"
I would agree with the final thoughts on needing to add a Wolf Scouts unit - even one is going to be annoying to your opponent though you'll need an attached Wolf Guard to make them scary enough for your opponent to deal with. I'd be looking to make the changes you made and drop a couple Grey Hunter bodies as well to fit them in.
However, without any TWC buddies for the Wolf Lord, I might consider skipping that part of the list altogether or skipping on the Rune Priest. You lose something by not having both but it's a lot of points in HQ currently and you aren't really supporting the Wolf Lord without any other TWC units. The result is you're spread too thin in that the TWC option isn't really strong enough and you're not getting some of the other benefits Space Wolves have access to (i.e. Scouts) so you need to forego something (and it can be the Wolf Scouts - though if you go this route, use the spare points to get some TWC buddies for the Wolf Lord).
