3++ Nerdcast: Episode 4 - Grenades, Sisters, Daemons & Marines. Oh my!

Biscuit is back for Episode 4! We're still missing an AbusePuppy though... This episode also includes the afterparty discussion where we stop trying to pretend to stick on topic or be reasonable and just chatter away like a bunch of nerds. That's the 2nd download below.

This episode we discuss grenades (~1:10) and their new uses and the impact of 6th edition on some of the armies we haven't discussed before. This includes Sisters of Battle (~12:00), Chaos Daemons (~18:00) and Space Marines (~24:00). Ironically, all three are talked about in relation to allies more than not...

3++ Nerdcast: Episode 3 - 6th edition knowledge expansion...

Next Nerdcast! This is unfortunately... well a rather unstructured one. And that's saying something for us! SirBiscuit and AbusePuppy don't join us and I'm busy packing Tyranids for the weekend's tournament so we left the two.... what should I call them :P? Who knows but they ran amok! lol

There's some good information in here, we just jump around a lot unfortunately! I've compiled a sort of table of contents below of what we go through below so you can skip to the more relevant parts or listen to the entire conversation and enjoy it all!

Our main focus is what's good/better in 6th (Orks discussed briefly 1:30-2:30 mins) with some focus on a couple armies specifically. This includes:

3++ Nerdcast: Episode 2 - 6th edition Allies & Power weapons

So this week we talk about...stuff. The main points of contact here were Allies (~8:00) & Power Weapons (~23:00) though there is a lot of tangental stuff chucked in there as well I'm afraid! Allies are looked at in why they should be brought as well as some of the best armies in which to take allies from. Power weapon types are looked at with a few specific units picked out and discussed. We also look at tournaments, specifically the North American tournament (~3:00) circuit and how the new edition and popoular opinion could affect this over the coming months. There's some fortification discussion in there as well!

3++ Nerdcast - Feedback

So we sprung the Nerdcast on you the other day. It was a spontaneous decision the day before basically to just record our chats and add a little bit of structure. So let's add more structure now. First off, the response was amazing with a couple thousand downloads (estimated). I think we would have been happy to break 1000 so this will certainly inspire more to follow! To business...

We got a little bit of feedback from the actual post itself but we're looking for more here. The style of conversation we are going for is a little bit unstructured - we don't to be reading from a script but rather playing it out like a sort of conference call with agendas. I think we veered a little off topic last time but if we kept more to the core principles we start out with, did you guys like such a system?

3++ Nerdcast: Episode 1 - 6th edition musings

A bunch of us have been discussing stuff on Skype lately so we decided to record some of our sessions. It gives, what we hope is, a good insight into our approach to learning and understanding 6th edition and you get a lot of the give and take you don't really see in actual blog posts (though hopefully you do in the chatbawks!).

So in this Nerdcast we looked at a couple things for 6th edition, most notably movement (2:18), psychic powers (~11:00), combat and shooting (~21:30) in a very general overview as well as some discussion about fliers (38:30), Grey Knights (~8:30) and Necrons! Biscuit also plugs Feast of Blades.
